It is with deep regret that the family of Linda announces her passing late Monday night, August 24, 2026, at home with her family, after a valiant four-month struggle with a recent diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis.
Linda was born Linda Lorraine Cousins in Manchester, NH on November 15, 1949. She was the daughter of Edward and Simonne Cousins, both deceased, with deep roots in Nova Scotia and Quebec Province. She is survived by her brother, Robert Cousins of Henniker, NH. She also leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Christos A. Chalogias of Hooksett, NH; two sons, Jayme Chalogias of Nottingham, NH, along with his wife Cathy, and Jason Chalogias and Lianna of Hooksett, NH; as well as three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces.
Linda attended school in Pinardville as well as Goffstown High School, Class of 1967.
Linda and Christos met in Manchester while working at Honeywell in 1968. They were married on July 5, 1969 at St. Edmunds Catholic Church and also at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, both in Manchester. She was a congregant of the Assumption Church for over five decades and sang in the church choir for many years.
Linda served as room mother at the Underhill School during her children’s formative years. She enjoyed floral arranging, puzzle making, backpack camping during her younger years, and helping Chris in the garden. And, of course, became a superb Greek cook of spanakopita, dolmathes, koulourakia, and paximathia, learning from Chris’s mother, Stella. It goes without saying that as a result of Linda’s kind spirit, she was a lover of all animals, especially with a multitude of cats and dogs over the years. She also received the opportunity to volunteer for the President Barack Obama Campaign and was afforded the privilege and honor of meeting the President, to her delight.
She enjoyed watching the Outlander and Poldark PBS series as well as Netflix. Her real enjoyment came with cheering for the New England Patriots alongside Chris and the family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 1st from 4PM-7PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. A Funeral Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, September 2nd at 9:30AM at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 111 Island Pond Road, Manchester, NH with burial to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, 765 Brown Ave, Manchester, NH.
Linda will forever be loved and missed and may her memory be eternal.
