Linda A. Monsees

May 26, 1949 — June 29, 2025

Candia, NH

Linda A. Monsees, 76, of Candia, NH passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the Elliot Hospital, in Manchester, NH, surrounded by her family.

Ms. Monsees was born on May 26, 1949, in Winthrop, MA, the daughter of the late Raymond and Christine (Annese) Clements.

Linda spent her career working as a gate attendant at Logan Airport for Continental and United Airlines. After her retirement, she found a second family by baking at Candia First Stoppe, where she became affectionately known as ‘Whoopie Pie Lady’ by many, even getting a feature on NH Chronicle.

She found joy in simple pleasures—being with her friends and family, day trips to Foxwoods with her daughter and friend Sue, watching the Food Network, Hallmark Channel, eating her favorite cookies and skittles (except for the green ones) on a daily basis, and sneaking cookies from underneath the plastic wrap before dessert. She also loved her travels to Hawaii.

Linda's life was rich with love and laughter. She was funny, generous, kind, and had deeply loving qualities that endeared her to all who knew her. Her sense of humor was unmatched, and everyone who was close to her can tell at least one story about the time she made them laugh to tears.

She cherished time spent with her family and especially relished her role as ‘Nana’ to her four grandchildren: Meghan, Lindsay, Ian and Gwen. Linda created lasting memories that will be treasured for generations.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Andrea Donovan and her husband, Thomas Donovan, of Derry, NH; ; her son, John LoConte, IV, of Plymouth, MA; her brother, Michael Clements and his wife, Maria Clements, of Peabody, MA; her adored grandchildren; Meghan Donovan, Lindsay Donovan, Ian LoConte and Gwendolen LoConte, her nephews, Matthew Clements and Nicholas Clements; as well as many other loved ones. She is predeceased by her parents Christine and Raymond Clements.

Her warmth touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed.

SERVICES: A private memorial service is being held for close family, with a Celebration of Life planned for a later date.

May Linda’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
