Linda L. Waterhouse

Linda L. Waterhouse, age 80, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2023, at Bedford Nursing & Rehabilitation, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 29, 1942, in Biddeford, Maine, to the late James and Emma (Gerrish) Waterhouse.

Linda was raised in Maine and graduated from Spaulding High School in Rochester, New Hampshire, in 1963. In her younger years, Linda attended beauty school, but soon realized that it was not for her. She went on to pursue a career in nursing and worked as a nursing assistant for over 28 years at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, New Hampshire. She had a true passion for helping others and was loved and respected by her colleagues and patients alike.

Aside from her work, Linda was an artistic person who enjoyed painting and dabbling in all mediums. She was a person of great strength and perseverance, never letting her health issues get her down.

Linda will be fondly remembered for her wit and sense of humor. She was a very funny person who had a way of making people laugh, even in the toughest of times. Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Linda is survived by her close friend and companion, Jeanne Bonnette, her sister Jean Hett and her significant other Michael, her brother James Waterhouse Jr. and his wife Lorraine, and her brother Stephen Waterhouse and his wife Solange. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her sister, Sandra Hastings, and her brother-in-law, Neil Hastings.

Linda’s visitation will be held on Monday, April 3 from 11:30AM – 12:30PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 12:30PM. Burial to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association in Linda's memory.
