Lionel Frechette

Lionel Frechette, 81, formerly of 31 Granite Street, Hooksett, died September 26, 2001, at Franklin Hospital, Franklin, NH. He was born in St. Francois du lac, Canada on November 2, 1919, the son of Omer and Aldea (Morin) Frechette and had been a resident of the Manchester and Hooksett communities for most of his life. Mr. Frechette has been residing at the NH Veteran's Home, Tilton, NH since 1994. He was the widower of Marie Reine (Ethier) Frechette who died in 1993. Lionel was retired from PSNH with 41 years of service. He was a W.W. II Army veteran and belonged to the Hooksett American Legion Post # 37. Family members include two sons, Donald Frechette of Manchester and Gerald Frechette of Allenstown, two daughter Diane Gagne of Epsom, NH and Joan Gagnon of Topsham, Maine, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Friday evening from 6 to 9. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 9 o'clock in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
