LOIS M. HORNER
LANDAFF, NH -- Lois M. Horner, age 82, passed away suddenly on August 24, 2006, at the Littleton Regional Hospital. Lois was a life-long resident of Littleton before moving to Landaff with her daughter, Gail and her family.
Lois was born in Littleton, NH on August 3, 1924, a daughter of Arthur and Blanche (Merrill) Blodgett. She attended the Apthorp School and Littleton High School.
Throughout her life in Littleton, Lois held many jobs in the local area, most recently driving the Littleton Senior Citizen van before her retirement. She bowled in the Leagues when Littleton had a bowling alley and was well known for her knitting abilities, especially sweaters, hats, and mittens. She loved to read, go camping, and go out to eat. Lois was an avid Red Sox fan and loved spending time with her family. She loved all children and to many was known as Grammie Horner.
Lois leaves her daughter, Gail and husband, David Clement, of Landaff, NH; her two sons, Brian Horner of Littleton, NH and Herb Horner of Lisbon, NH; six grandchildren and three great grand-children. Lois was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth E. Horner in 1992, as well as one brother and five sisters.
SERVICES The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, August 27th from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home Littleton Chapel, 101 Union Street. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 28th at 11:00 a.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home with Rev. Lyn O. Winter officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in her memory to the Littleton Public Library, 109 Main Street, Littleton, NH 03561.
