Loraine T. Constant

LORAINE T. CONSTANT WINDHAM – Loraine T. (Turner) Constant, 84, died on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at Warde Health Center, in Windham, NH. Mrs. Constant was born on February 6, 1924, in Clearfield, PA, the daughter of the late Wilbur and Alice McGraw Turner. She grew up in Clearfield, PA where she attended local schools. Mrs. Constant attended Hesser Business College and resided in Manchester for the past 63 years. She was veteran, having served in the United States Army Air Corps. Mrs. Constant was employed at Holmes Transportation, where she worked as a rating clerk. She enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting and was an avid quilter. Members of her family include; 3 sons, David M. Constant, of Windham, NH; Mark J. Constant, of St. Augustine, FL; Joseph T. Constant, of Salisbury, NH; 1 sister, Irene Whitehill, Clearfield, PA, several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Constant was predeceased by her husband, Joseph E.B. Constant, who died in March 2008, and by her infant daughter, Cheryl Ann Constant. IN HER LIFE: Other family members include; her 2 daughter-in-laws, Kerrianne Constant, of St. Augustine, FL; Nanette B. Constant, of Windham, NH; and 3 grandchildren, Jonathan M. Constant, of Atlanta, GA; Caitlin Constant, of St. Augustine, FL; Christina M. Constant, of Windham, NH. SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be Monday, September 8, from 12:30 – 1:30 P.M. at The Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM in the funeral home. Committal prayers and military honors will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
