Lorraine J. (Wenzel) Brown, 78, died, Tuesday, October 21, at the Catholic Medical Center, following a long illness.
She was born in Goffstown, NH, on September 21, 1930, the daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Morrissette) Wenzel. She was a resident of the Manchester area for most of her life.
Mrs. Brown was employed at the Manchester Mental Health, where she worked in housekeeping.
She was a communicant of St. Pius X Church, in Manchester.
Family members include; her son, Scott E. Brown, of Manchester; 2 grandchildren; 1 brother, Leon J. Morrissette, of Manchester; 3 sisters, Dorothy Coan, Ella Currier and Diane Currier, all of Manchester; 2 nieces and 2 nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Everett Brown, who died in 1975.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Thursday, October 23, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, 11 A.M. at St. Pius X Church, 575 Candia Road, in Manchester. Burial will take place at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery, in Manchester.
It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to St. Pius X Church, 575 Candia Road, Manchester, NH 03109, or to New England Heart Institute, 100 McGregor Street, Manchester, NH 03102, in memory of Mrs. Brown.
Arrangements are under the direction of Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester, NH.
