Lorraine H. Collins

Lorraine Helen Collins, 91, of Bedford, NH, passed away on July 22, 2024. Born in Manchester, NH on October 15, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Armand and Leda (Routhier) Langelier. She shared 56 years of marriage with her late husband, Robert Collins, who predeceased her in 2014.

Lorraine was raised in Manchester. She found great comfort in her Catholic faith and was involved with the local Catholic community throughout her life, from attending Catholic school in her youth to volunteering with the Women’s Guild at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church. She retired from New England Telephone after many years with positions spanning administrative work, dispatch, and managerial roles. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and visited many parts of the U.S. including Alaska and Hawaii. They traveled to Bermuda, the Bahamas, and Puerto Rico. They also visited many parts of Canada from Prince Edward Island to Vancouver. On their 50th anniversary, they traveled to Europe and cruised on the Danube River. Lorraine also greatly enjoyed skiing. Above all else, Lorraine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished time spent with her family.

Lorraine is survived by her son, Bruce Collins and his wife Lisa; her granddaughter, Amelia Collins; as well as other extended family members and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Lorraine was predeceased by all of her siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 26th at 11AM at St. Elizabeth Seton Parish, 190 Meetinghouse Road, Bedford, NH. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery in Manchester.
