Lorraine J. Cote, 97 of Goffstown, NH died peacefully on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, in Goffstown, NH.
Mrs. Cote was born on August 27, 1923, in Manchester, NH the daughter of the late Henry and Eva (Sanchagrin) Preneveau. She attended local schools and graduated from St. Georges High School. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester. After graduation she worked in the textile profession for a short time.
Lorraine enjoyed quiet rides to the country and visiting friends and family with her husband Archie. She loved spending time with her sisters and brother. She was well known for her expert sewing skills and kind ways.
After losing her husband in 1994 she found happiness in being with family, friends and especially spending time with her sister Theresa and her family.
She enjoyed going out to eat at all the different dining places Manchester had to offer. She was a true member of this community.
Ma Tante as she was referred to by all she left behind will surely miss her loving personality.
She leaves behind a nephew, niece, great nieces and nephews and their respective families.
She was predeceased by her husband Achille, sisters Juliette, Cecile, and Theresa and brother Gerard as well as niece Jacqueline Simard.
The family of Lorraine would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff on C3 at the Hillsborough County Nursing home for professional and compassionate care that she received while being a resident there.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 25, 10:00 AM at St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont Street, in Manchester. Those in attendance are respectfully requested to wear face coverings and practice social distancing. Committal prayers and interment will follow at St. Augustin Cemetery in Manchester.
It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to Hillsborough County Nursing Home in memory of Mrs. Cote.
