Lorraine B. Demers
Lorraine B. Demers, 60, of Manchester, passed away on March 13, 2013 at her residence.
She was born in Manchester on August 15, 1952, the daughter of Robert and Doris (Gamelin) Lemieux and had been a lifelong resident of the city. She had worked for Hillsborough County Nursing Home as an LNA for thirty years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her four grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, crafts and reading. She was the widow of Donald C. Demers who died in 2003 and was predeceased by a son, Joseph Holt.
Family members include two daughters, Kelly York of Wear and Bonnie Freeman and her husband Dennis of Rochester; a step daughter, Lisa Demers of NH; four grandchildren, Coda, Jimmy, Samantha and Erin; a sister, Lucille Stratton of Manchester; and nephews, nieces and cousins.
A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester on Thursday from 6 to 7 PM with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 7 PM.
