Lorraine B. Gagnon

The love of our lives, Lorraine Gagnon passed away unexpectedly on December 12th at one of her favorite places to be in, Jackson, NH. She was 76.
Born in Manchester, NH on April 15, 1944, the daughter of Bertrand and Marion Bernard. Lorraine resided in Hooksett, NH.
Upon her passing a close friend coined the phrase, "Lovely Lorraine" which describes everything about her. Her endearing graciousness was innate and she never waivered from being kind to others. The moment she entered a room her warm smile exuded happiness and made everyone want to be with her. If there was ever an example of a person who was completely altruistic, it would be Lorraine. Without any hesitation, Lorraine would always be there for others to listen, take pause and assist her loved ones in many wonderful ways. She was steadfast on her faith and never deviated from her loyalty to family.
Lorraine was married to the love of her life, Ronald H. Gagnon for 53 years. Ron passed away on February 4, 2016. She and Ron enjoyed raising a wonderful family and teaching their children the importance of caring and being true to others. Lorraine's selflessness carried on by helping her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with whatever they needed. From making beds, assisting with family chores and babysitting overnight to teaching a young child how to knit and another to read, she took great pride in being there for everyone.
Lorraine had a dedicated career at BAE Systems for many years and helped her husband Ron in the hospitality business. They worked well together both in business and in life. Lorraine loved to travel. Her favorite trips were to Hawaii and Paris with Ron. In her later years she would vacation on Cape Cod and Jackson NH. She also loved to go on road trips with her daughter Michelle and family. She cherished her Friday night tradition of having dinner with her son, Dan and his family followed by quality time spent with her grandchildren. She treasured all time spent with her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. These moments meant the world to Lorraine and brightened the already constant sparkle in her eyes that we all loved to see.
Lorraine is survived by her two children, Daniel Gagnon & wife Rebecca; and Michelle (Gagnon) Horner & husband Eric; Eleven grandchildren, Derek Gagnon and wife Vanessa, Melanie (Gagnon) Fredette & husband Adam, Jon-Luc Gagnon & wife Samantha, Chad and Chase Horner; Shawn, Aiden, Isabella, Vito, Jamison and Mason Gagnon; Five great grandchildren, Harvey & Henry Gagnon; Nolan & Liam Fredette; Winona Gagnon.
