Lorraine L. (Cayer) Marois, 73, of Manchester, passed away on December 2, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Manchester on April 3, 1936, the daughter of Jean-Baptiste and Rose (Rochleau) Cayer and had been a lifelong resident of the City. She worked in the bakery department at Shaw's Supermarket for nineteen years until her retirement. She loved baking, especially for family and friends. She also loved going to Foxwoods. She was predeceased by a son, Bruce Manning and by a daughter, Maryanne Manning. Family members include her husband of 48 years, Robert Marois, Sr.; three sons, James Manning of Merrimack, Robert Marois, Jr. of Manchester and Marc Marois of Chester; four daughters, Patricia Manning and Cathleen Beland, both of Manchester, Lisa Caron of Goffstown and Cynthia Tweed of CA; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; three brothers, Roger Cayer of CT, Robert Cayer of FL and Lionel Cayer of FL; and nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place on Sunday from 4 to 7 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Manchester. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 9:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church.
