Lorraine P. Martin

Mrs. Lorraine P. (Schmidt) Martin, 66, of Manchester, NH died January 18, 2008 at the Elliot Hospital following a long illness. She was born on December 23, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA the daughter of Carl and Dorothy (Kruger) Schmidt. She graduated from High School in Upper Darby, PA. She was a resident of Manchester since 1984, having moved from Philadelphia. Mrs. Martin served in the US Army from October of 1960 to February 1962. She was a dedicated homemaker. Lorraine enjoyed spending time with her constant companion Bubba, her toy poodle. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Thomas D. Martin of Manchester; two sons, Donald Martin of Manchester and Michael Jordan of Manchester; two brothers, Jack L. Kruger of Goffstown and Wayne Schmidt of Holmes, PA and her numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Her Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, Manchester on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00PM. Following cremation, inurnment will be at the NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, on Friday at 10:30AM.
