Lorraine Vachon, 63, of 194-1 Beech Hill Avenue, Manchester, NH, died February 17, 2005, at Hanover Hill Health Care Center after a long illness. She was born in Berlin, NH, on August 27, 1941, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Bergeron) Springer, Sr., and had been a resident of Manchester for most of her life. After high school she joined the Womans Auxilliary Corp. Lorraine was retired from the Manchester City Welfare where she worked as a social worker for over 10 years. She belonged to the Lafayette Club and she loved her grandchildren. Family members include her daughter, Lorri (Vachon) Morin of Manchester, two sons; William Vachon of North Carolina and Steven Vachon of Maine, six granddaughters, two brothers; Joseph Leroy Springer, Jr. of Berlin, NH and Norman Springer of Louisianna, three sisters; Pauline McGreedy of Pennsylvania, Jeannette Dion of Florida and Margaret Woehlre of Massachusetts, many nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are welcomed to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial, Monday morning at 10 OClock in St. Anthony Church, Manchester, NH. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Berlin, NH. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation or the American Diabetes Foundation.
