Louis Glatthorn

Louis A. Glatthorn, 96, passed away Friday February 24, 2012 at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington. Louis was born in Philadelphia, PA, February 26, 1915 the son of Louis and Anna (Girvin) Glatthorn. He had attended schools in Philadelphia. Mr. Glatthorn was a veteran of WWII having served with the Merchant Marines. After his honorable discharge in 1946 he spent his career working for the ARCO Company as a Navigator where he traveled the world. He spent his retirement in Philadelphia, Reno, Las Vegas, California, Brattleboro and Bennington.
He was one of nine children and is survived by his sister Dorothy Egbert of Brattleboro and many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Louis will be lovingly remembered as a Devoted Son, Brother and Uncle.

Private services will take place at the Ker-Westerlund Funeral Home followed by graveside committal services with Military Honors in Meeting House Hill Cemetery, Brattleboro.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Vermont Veterans Home, 325 North Street Bennington, VT 05201
