Louis Joe Corbeil passed away July 30, 2023 at the age of 93 in Coconut Creek, Florida.
He was born on May 14, 1930 in Lincoln, N.H. where he was a lifelong resident until his move to Florida in June of 2022. Louis joined the Navy and served from 1948 to 1952. During the Korean War he was stationed in Charleston, S.C. and Pensacola, Florida where he served on the USS Tumult, an Auk-class minesweeper. After his service he and his wife, who he married July 22nd, 1950, moved back to Lincoln where he worked at the former Franconia Paper Co. for many years, than worked for the Burndy Company until his retirement. Even after retirement Louis could be found working part-time for the Indian Head Resort and the St. Joseph’s church. During his life in Lincoln he became very involved with the Knights of Columbus holding many positions including faithful financial secretary, past faithful navigator and is a past grand knight. He remains a member of the American Legion Post 83 in Lincoln, NH. Louis enjoyed the simple things in life, his large family, and most of all the Boston Red Sox.
He is predeceased by his wife Marie who he was married to for 70 years. Louis is survived by his three children, Edward, Beatrice, and Louis Jr. as well as 9 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 10:00 am int St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lincoln, N.H. Following the service interment with military honors at Riverside cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Louis Corbeil Sr. name to the American Legion.
