Louis George Langlois, 72, of Manchester, NH, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on January 25, 2026. Born on August 4, 1953 in Amesbury, MA, he was a son of the late Roger and Jeannette (Turcotte) Langlois. He spent 48 cherished years with his wife, Denise (Dionne) Langlois, 43 of those as husband and wife.

Louis spent his younger years in Goffstown and attended Goffstown schools before graduating from Central High School in Manchester. He earned his bachelor's degree in music education from Notre Dame College. Louis was a proud veteran who served in the United States Coast Guard from 1974 – 1976. Throughout his career, he worked as a musician, a music teacher, a real estate broker including operating his own business, Great Northern Realty, and with their multi‑generation family enterprise West Side Flooring where he remained until his retirement.

Louis had a deep love for music and was often found playing his guitar. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and hiking, and eagerly anticipated summer camping trips in the wilderness. Being near the water brought him great joy, whether at the beach, by a lake, swimming, or boating. Favorite pastimes included keeping his truck looking its best, motorcycling and snowmobiling. Louis enjoyed movies, word puzzles, games, and sharing his knowledge. A history enthusiast with quick wit and humor, Louis will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Above all, he was a cherished husband, father, and grandfather whose love and strength will live on through his family.

Louis is survived by his wife, Denise Langlois of Manchester; his daughters, Karryann Langlois of Manchester, Laura Benjamin and her husband Patrick of Boscawen, and Michelle Langlois of Manchester; his grandchildren, Julie, Daniel, Samantha, James, Jillian, and one on the way, Jayne; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members, and friends. In addition to his parents, Louis was predeceased by his brother, Roger Don Langlois.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 4th from 4PM-6PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. A funeral service will follow at 6PM in the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH, on Friday, February 6th at 1PM. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation, funeral service, and burial ceremony.
