Louis Michaud, 90, of 200 Alliance Way, Manchester died August 5, 2001, at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Lowell, Ma., on March 31, 1911, the son of Albert J. and Elmina (Menard) Michaud and had been a resident of Manchester for most of his life. He was Manager for Scott's Jewelry for 40 years and was a past member of the Manchester Lions Club for 35 years. Mr. Michaud loved fishing and was a past choir member for various Manchester churches. In his younger years Louis sang opera and was chosen second in place for his singing talent for the man that became national. He was the widower of Yvonne (Gagnon) Michaud who died in 1992. Family members include two sons, Paul Michaud of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Roger Michaud of Manchester, five grandchildren, three great grandchidren, a sister Jeannette Roussell of Dracut, Ma., several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Patrick Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
