Louis P. Rizzico, 81, of Manchester, NH died October 25, 2007 at Villa Crest Nursing Home following a long illness. He was born on February 12, 1926 in Rutland, VT the son of Louis and Mary (Bizzaro) Rizzico. He was raised and educated in Rutland, VT. He raised his family and lived in Berlin, CT for twenty five years before moving to Cape Coral, FL. He moved to Manchester 2 years ago. During World War II he served in the US Navy as a Ships Service Man Second Class. He was on the USS Tarazed and participated in the D-Day Invasion. Most recently, he worked as the proprietor of Verticals and Patio Decor in Cape Coral, Florida for twenty years. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. He liked to cook and enjoyed a good meal. He also loved spending time with his family. Mr. Rizzico was a hard working man who enjoyed his work. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in CT. He was a little league coach and president of the little league in Berlin, CT. He is survived by his son David Rizzico of Taylorsville, North Carolina; daughter, Cheryl Rizzico-Smith of Bedford; brother, Samuel Rizzico of Rutland, Vermont; 4 sisters, Carmella Vinciguerra of Vermont, Philomena Wood of Rutland, Vermont, Jean Ann LaVictorie of Vermont and Josephine OByrn of Oakbrook, Illinois; 2 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Alberta (Rivers) Rizzico. In His Life: He is also survived by his daughter in-law, Kim Browning of Taylorsville, NC; son in-law, Bill Smith of Bedford, and his grandchildren, Alexandra Rizzico Smith and Bradford Louis Smith both of Bedford. His Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, on Saturday from 11:30AM to 1:00PM with his Funeral Service at 1:00PM in the Funeral Home.
