Louise D. Kuslaka, 65, of Chester, NH, died October 12, 2008, at her daughter's residence in Hooksett after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born in Manchester, NH, on April 30, 1943, the daughter of Laurette (Ducharme) Sullivan and the late Phillip Sullivan and had been a resident of Chester. Louise graduated from Notre Dame School of Nursing and worked at CMC Hospital and later the Elliot Hospital, where she retired as a labor, delivery and maternity nurse and specialized as a lactation consultant. Louise was an avid gardener, loved dancing and Tole painting. She was always smiling and will be remembered by many. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Family members include her husband of 42 years, William Kuslaka of Chester, a son, William P. Kuslaka of Novato, California; two daughters; Kathy Kuslaka Clement of Hooksett, NH, and Sharon Clair of Amherst, NH; her mother of Manchester, NH; seven grandchildren, two sisters; Fran MacDonald of Hooksett, NH and Jackie Peterson of Bow, NH; many nieces, nephews and cousins. IN HER LIFE: Her seven grandchildren; Tyler and Trevor Kuslaka, both of Novato, California; Tim, Jacob and Sam Clement, all of Hooksett, NH; Payton and Devin Clair, of Amherst, NH; her three close friends; Johanne Plante, Angie Diorio and Colleen Malloney. Louise was pre-deceased by her sister, Pauline Hebert who died in 2008. SERVICES: Relatives and friends may call at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10 o'clock in Ste. Marie Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
