Lucie S. (Boucher) Gilbert, 54, of 171 Candia Road, died January 22, 2001 at the Elliot Hospital. She was born in Manchester on May 14, 1946, the daughter of Francois and Lucia (Boisvert) Boucher and had been a lifelong resident of the City. Prior to her illness, she had been employed by Manchester Mental Health, where she had worked for the past eight years. She was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church. She enjoyed traveling and was a devoted wife and mother. Family members include her husband of 28 years, Rejean Gilbert; four sons, Jeff Gilbert of Deerfield, Danny Gilbert, Peter Gilbert and Tom Gilbert, all of Manchester; two brothers, Frank Boucher of Georgetown, MA and Marc Boucher of Manchester; two sisters, Denise Labrie and Rachel DeWitt, both of Manchester; and several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St. on Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 10:00 in St. Pius Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 360 Route 101, Unit 501, Bedford, NH 03110.
