Lucien R. Boulanger, 84, formerly of 167 Dubuque Street, died July 23, 2003 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Manchester on April 8, 1919, the son of Alfred and Alice (Soucy) Boulanger and had been a lifelong resident of the city. He was a carpenter for Manchester Sand and Gravel for thirty years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the carpenters union and was a long-time parishioner of Ste. Marie Church. He was predeceased by three daughters, Lorraine Boulanger, Lucille Poisson and Diane Normand. Family members include his wife of 65 years, Lillian (Desharnais); four sons, Richard Boulanger, Alfred Boulanger, Paul Boulanger all of Manchester and Henry Boulanger of Bedford; four daughters, Mrs. George (Pauline) Goudas of Manchester, Mrs. Leo (Louise) Martel of FL, Mrs. Roland (Lucienne) Martel of Litchfield and Mrs. Denis (Denise) Sanfason of Hooksett; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; a brother, Henri Boulanger of TX; three sisters, Mrs. Irene Robidas of Deep River, CT, Mrs. Lucien (Helen) Dionne of St. Petersburg, FL and Mrs. Claire Libby of FL; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Sunday from 5 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10:00 in Ste.
