Lucien R. ''Bud'' Goudreault, 61, of 95 Varney Street, died September 15, 2000 at Catholic Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was born in Manchester on May 31, 1939, the son of the late Leopold and Fabiola (Dionne) Goudreault and had been a lifelong resident of the city. Earlier in his career he had worked at J.F. McElwain for 25 years, the last eight as a supervisor. After that, he worked for PSNH for 15 years until his retirement in 1994. Prior to his illness, he had been working for Partners Cleaning Co. owned by his wife and for Amoskeag Carrier, owned by his son. He was a parishioner of St. Raphael Church and was a member of the League of One Thousand Men of Precious Blood Monestary. Bud had been a drummer for 25 years with many different bands throughout the city. He was also a drum instructor for the Alpine Drum and Bugle Corp. He was an avid baseball and football fan. Family members include his wife of 38 years, Irene (Young) Goudreault; a son, Dana L. Goudreault of Manchester; a daughter, Roberta Goudreault of Manchester; three grandchildren; a brother, Bertrand Goudreault of Candia; a sister, Irene Cunningham of Hooskett; one aunt and several nephews, nieces and cousins. He also leaves his beloved dog, Shadow. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue on Monday from 6 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 11:00 in St. Raphael Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
