Lucille M. Pinard, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2021 after a year of declining health from a non-covid related illness. She was born on December 18, 1932 to the late Horace & Claire (Bernard) Gagnon in Manchester, NH and would go on to marry the love of her life and husband of over 55 years, the late Rene Pinard.
Lucille was born and raised on the West Side of Manchester and had deep ties to her community and culture until her final days. She attended Ste. Marie grammar school and later Ste. Marie High, and would go on to enjoy 17 years of employment at Bee Bee Shoe as well as over 38 years running a daycare in her home. Her primary employment, however, was raising her three children whom she loved dearly. There was no greater joy in her life than time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Lucille found strength and guidance through her faith and devotion to God. She was a member of the Secular Franciscans since 1961, and also belonged to the Ladies of Ste. Anne and was a former lector and Eucharistic Minister. She was especially loyal to the Ste. Marie Parish, and was always in attendance at Sunday Mass and holiday services.
Lucille loved knitting, cross-stitching & crocheting, playing cards with friends and family and playing her accordion, especially in nursing homes. She also loved a cold Bud Light and a brandy with friends. She will be remembered as a loyal, generous, and natural caretaker to those in need, and she was known to always put others' needs before her own. She was always known to look out for the underdog and loved everyone the way they are. She wished her legacy to be one of generosity and love and a true desire to please and honor God.
Lucille has joined her parents Horace & Claire; husband Rene Pinard and brothers Roger & Henri Gagnon in heaven. She is survived by her son Bob Pinard and his wife Christine; daughter Denise Remillard; daughter Joelle Lanteigne and her husband Doug; brother Ronnie Gagnon (Connie); sister Terry Smith (John); brother Gerry Gagnon (Denise); sister Carmelle Dupuis (Jerry); sister-in-law Connie; grandkids Joshua, Brooks, Sara, Emily, Avery & Cooper; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A funeral mass for Lucille will be held on Thursday, January 21 at 10:00 AM at Ste. Marie Parish in Manchester. She will be laid to rest immediately afterwards at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lucille's memory can be made to the Catholic Charities of Manchester at 325 Franklin St. Manchester, NH or the Community Hospice House at 210 Naticook Rd. Merrimack, NH.
