Lucille Y. Dube

Lucille Y. Dube, 89, of Goffstown, previously of Jaffrey and Nashua, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2024 in her home. She is the loving wife of the late Charles O. Dube with whom she shared over 57 years of marriage.

Lucille was born on August 21, 1934 in Manchester, the daughter of Wilfrid and Yvonne Caron.

Lucille loved to read, and was an avid knitter and crocheter. She found joy in donating her knitted hats and blankets to the Linus Society. She was very well known for her Raggedy-Ann dolls and beautiful handmade quilts. Lucille was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and worked at Filtrine in Keene for many years until her retirement.

She is survived by her two daughters, Joanne Topham and her husband Tom of Sandwich, MA, and Lynne Messier of Goffstown; her grandchildren, Jennifer Arnao, Jeremy Hand, and Travis Messier; great grandchildren, Boston, Julie, and Wesley Messier, Aylin and Avery Hand, and Luke Arnao; siblings, Donald Caron and Maurice Caron; and nephews, Donald, Paul, and Joe Caron whom she raised as her own, and their children, Amy, Tyler, Peter, Ben, Philip, and Maxwell.

Predeceased by her husband Charles Dube in 2012, and siblings, Leo and Paul Caron.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, June 28th from 10:30am-11:00am at The Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. A memorial service will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend. Lucille will be privately laid to rest with her late husband at the NH State Veteran Cemetery in Boscawen.
