Lucius “Bob” R. Covey, Sr., 75, of Manchester, January 28, 2008 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Hill on July 1, 1932, the son of Urdell and Florence (Nelson) Covey and had been a Manchester resident for most of his life. He had worked for Poultry Products for over fifteen years until his retirement. His passion was working on cars but he also enjoyed fishing and helping others. He was also an animal lover. He was predeceased by a son, Lucius R. Covey, Jr., who died in 2003. Family members include his wife, Gloria (Arnold) Covey; three sons, Randy M. Arnold of Pelham, Scott W. Covey of Manchester and Jeremy R. Covey of Allenstown; a daughter, Victoria D. Peterson of Allenstown; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a brother, Malcolm Covey of ME; and nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place later this year at the convenience of the family. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
