Lucy Putnam Howard
Lucy P. Howard, 79 of Brattleboro, VT passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Greenfield, MA on February 2, 1938; the daughter of the late Ernest and Julia (Millington) Putnam.
Lucy was a lifelong area resident. She was employed as a Waitress at the Putney Inn until her retirement. She enjoyed doing crosswords, going to the beach, traveling; especially to Nantucket Island, eating out, taking rides, cooking, reading and tending to her plants. Lucy especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Michael Higley of Hendersonville, TN; a daughter, Kathy Del Toro of Pittsfield, MA; three grandchildren, Jeremy Higley, Jessica Martin and Kristin Del Toro; five great grandchildren, Mason, Nolan, Liam and Evrit Martin and Minca Del Toro.
Services will be held by the family. The KER-WESTERLUND FUNERAL HOME, 57 High St., Brattleboro, VT is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to KidsPLAYce, 20 Elliot St, Brattleboro, VT 05301.
