Lynda S. Ricker, 72, of Barnstead, passed away on December 4th, 2021 with her family by her side. She is the loving wife of Dennis Ricker with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.
Lynda was an avid baker, whether it be bringing dessert to cheerleading practice for her
granddaughter's friends, baking everyone’s favorite pie for the holiday parties, or
bringing in a homemade cake for her coworker’s birthday. Baking was just another way
of her expressing her affection for others. She was also a skilled crocheter and
seamstress, making her great granddaughters Halloween costumes, Christmas
stockings and making every child’s first baby blanket. It gave her joy to put her time into
creating something, as a permanent reminder of her love.
Lynda absolutely loved her family; she was everyone’s adopted mother and
grandmother. She made every person feel warm, welcome and like part of the family in
every aspect of her life. The importance of family was passed down from her mother,
and she made sure to pass down those values to her loved ones.
Lynda knew how to live every moment to its fullest; singing in the car with her children,
laughing with her brothers and sisters, dancing throughout the night with her
granddaughters or enjoying car rides through a snowstorm. However, her true passion
was the privilege to go to bed each night with the love of her life for the last 53 years.
Lynda was the true matriarch of her family and will be dearly missed.
Along with her husband Dennis, Lynda is survived by her children, Wendy Giroux and
her husband Keith of Concord, and Dennis Jr and his partner Jonathan O’Leary of
Portland, ME, grandchildren; Sabrina Dion and her husband Alex of New Hampton,
Samantha Ricker, Anthony Giroux and his wife Janelle of Laconia, and Matt Giroux of
TX, great children; Axton and Novalyn Dion and Marley Rose Giroux, siblings; Roger
Francoeur, Kathy Charron, Brenda Villemaire, Laurie Raymond, and Ricky Villemarie,
and many nieces, nephews, friends and coworkers. She is predeceased by her brother
William “Bill” Francoeur.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 9th from 4-8pm at the Phaneuf
Funeral Home & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue in Manchester. A Funeral service
will be held the following day, December 10th at 10am.
