During her short nursing career she also earned the distinction of administering the first penicillin shot in the state of NH.
Therese married Dick Wasson in 1947, who remained her loving husband for 67 years. Life was soon filled with many children and the daily activities of raising a family. She created many wonderful memories for her children especially with summertime fun, birthdays and holidays. In later years, she and Dick traveled the world, he as the adventurer and she as his constant companion. Therese participated in many of the organizations that Dick supported, whether it be as a volunteer or as a member of the board.
