Madeleine G. (Giroux) Grenier, 99, of Goffstown, formerly of Manchester, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children at Catholic Medical Center as she took Jesus' hand and went home with him on May 19, 2016.

She was born in St. Benoit Labre, PQ Canada on August 22, 1916. Prior to her moving to NH in 1966, she was a homemaker raising 11 children. She has worked at Prevue Products until her retirement. Madeleine was a devout Catholic, and spent her retirement volunteering for many organizations. She also enjoyed knitting, gardening, traveling, listening to music, dancing, and praying. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be remembered enjoying life to the fullest and her life was a true testament to God's love. She was predecease by her husband of 65 years, Emile Grenier in 2003.

Family members include her children, Gertrude (late Andre) Begin, Fernand Grenier, Eloy Grenier and his wife Marlene, Martine Daigle and her husband Giles, all of Manchester, Magella Grenier and his wife Madeleine, Sister Marie Rose Grenier, and Sister Paula Grenier, all of Canada, Paul Grenier and his wife Lise of Goffstown, Rosaire Grenier and wife Marie of Bedford, Blandine Labbe and her husband Yvan, and Mary Jane Gagnon and her husband Mark both of Hooksett; 24 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren; and nephews, nieces and cousins.

Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave., Manchester on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 in Ste. Marie Church. Graveside committal services will follow in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
