MADELEINE LAVENTURE MANCHESTER – Madeleine LaVenture, 71, died Saturday, November 3, 2007, at Community Hospice House, in Merrimack. Madeleine was born on February 11, 1936, in Manchester, NH, the daughter of the late, Wilfred and Alice J. (Guillemette) LaVenture. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester. Prior to retirement, she was employed for 10 years, with the State of New Hampshire, in the NH Judicial System. Members of her family include; her daughter, Colleen A. Gagne, of Manchester; her son, Kevin R. Moher, of Bedford, NH; 4 grandchildren, her foster daughter, Kristine Chouinard, of Watertown, NY; 2 brothers, Andre LaVenture, of W. Springfield, VA; Conrad LaVenture, of Englewood, FL; 1 sister, Laurette Williams, of Lakeland, FL; many nieces and nephews. Madeleine was predeceased by her husband, Chris W. Sakelarios, and by her daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Moher. IN HER LIFE: Madeleine loved politics, landscaping and home remodeling. She especially enjoyed spending time with her 4 grandchildren, Julie Gagne, of Manchester; William Moher, of Bedford; Laura Gagne, of Manchester; and Matthew Moher, of Bedford. SERVICES: A memorial reception will be Thursday, November 8, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. The Reverend Robert Bergquist, pastor of Bethany Covenant Church, in Bedford, will officiate the service. It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to The Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054, in memory of Madeleine.
