Madelyn E. Sheridan, 88, of 902 Island Pond Road, died May 29, 2006 at Villa Crest Nursing Home. She was born in Norwood, MA on May 6, 1918, and had been a resident of Block Island, RI for many years before moving to NH 35 years ago. She and her husband owned a restaurant on Block Island. They also wintered in Largo, FL for many years. She loved to cook and make crafts. She also belonged to the Wednesday Girls Sewing Club in Candia. She was predeceased by a son, Richard Red Sheridan. Family members include her husband of 35 years, George Sheridan; two sons; David Anderson and John Ray Anderson, both or RI; two step-sons, David Sheridan and Stephen Sheridan, both of FL; two step-daughters, Linda Sheridan of Northfield and Mrs. David Holly Lafond of Manchester; thirteen grandchilderen; and nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Friday evening from 5 to 7 PM with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 7 PM. Urn burial will take place at a later date in Holbrook Cemetery, Candia.
