Malvin B. Ensign, 73, of Hooksett, died December 14, 2004 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Springfield, MA on December 15, 1930, the son of Walter and Gladys (Weeks) Ensign and had resided in upstate New York for many years and had been a Hooksett resident for the past 14 years. He had worked for Canteen Vending Company for many years. He was a member of the Manchester Elks Club, Lodge 156 and was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church. He enjoyed making crossword puzzles. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Family members include his wife of 54 years, Helen (DeRaleau); four sons, Stephen Ensign of Portland, OR, Martin Ensign of Mont Vernon, Randal Ensign of Kodiak, Alaska and David Ensign of Maryland; eight grandchildren and one great grandson; a brother, Kenneth Ensign of Springfield, MA; two sisters, Lucille Berard and San Antonio, TX and Gladys Burr of Agawam, MA; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 in Holy Rosary Church, Hooksett. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
