Marcel L. Auger, 84, of 5890 Cypress Gardens Boulevard, Winter Haven, Florida and formerly of 112 McQuesten Street, Manchester, NH died on August 3, 2000, of a long illness at his home in Florida. He was born in Manchester, NH on March 4, 1916, son of Anthime and Adelina (Lacourse) Auger and had been a resident of Manchester for most of his life. He was a master mechanic for 35 years with the former Manchester Rendering Company in Manchester and Corneco of Lowell, Ma. Mr. Auger was a former parishioner of Sacred Heart Church for 50 years and a member of St. Joseph Church in Lake Wales, Florida for 10 years. He enjoyed his pet dogs, country western music, gardening, taking long walks and summer picnics. Family member include his wife of 65 years Antoinette (Garon) Auger of Winter Haven, Florida, a son Norman Auger of Manchester, a daughter Theresa A. Longval of NH, his predeceased son Ronald Auger who died in 1989, two granddaughters, four grandsons and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. His two lifelong friends Ralph Beauparlant and Robert Devor, both of Manchester. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
