Margaret L. Abbott

Margaret Louise (Baker) Abbott, aged 90, passed away peacefully on Dec. 10, 2022 at Epsom Healthcare Center after a period of declining health. She was born in Concord, NH to the late Fredrick and Catherine (Patten) Baker on July 22, 1932.

She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, crocheting and fishing with her kids. She also loved to sing and dance. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 39 years Harold E. Abbott Sr., her sons Harold E. Abbott Jr. and John R. Abbott. She was also predeceased by two grandsons and a granddaughter, her brothers Fred Baker, George Baker and sisters Dorothy Nault and Shirley Champagne.

Margaret is survived by her children Edward (Sandy) Abbott, Sandra Chalifour, Ronnie (Debbie) Abbott, Ann (David) Foss, Cheryl (Ray) Dufield, Gary (Deb) Abbott, Brenda (Mark) DuVerger, Michael (Melissa) Abbott and her sister Charlotte Blake. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Epsom Healthcare for the loving care and support they provided to Margaret (Maggie) and her family.

The family will receive visitors Tuesday, December 20, 2022, 10:00-11:00am at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 172 King Street in Boscawen. Memorial service will begin at 11:00 in the funeral home chapel followed by a reception and will conclude with graveside committal in the afternoon at Blossom Hill Cemetery, 207 N State Street in Concord.
