Margaret “Peggy” E. Morrissette, 72, of Hooksett, NH passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on November 27, 2021 with her loving family at her side. She was born on July 12, 1949 to the late Alfred & Juliette (Lapointe) Dubois. Peggy married her husband Norman Morrissette in 1974, they spent 46 years happily married.
Peggy was born in Manchester, NH but lived her entire life in Hooksett with her family and close friends. Throughout her life she worked as an administrative assistant, but her priority was being a wonderful wife, supportive mother, and loving grandmother.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Peggy will remember her as an extraordinary woman. She was strong, kind and giving. Peggy participated in several research studies in hopes that she could help others win their battle against cancer.
Peggy loved to be outdoors, loved playing cards, and loved the companionship of her dog who meant the world to her.
Peggy has now joined her husband Norman in heaven. She is survived by her son Marc Morrissette and his girlfriend Kerry Soucy; daughter Amber Upton her husband Anthony; grandchildren Colin Warren, Emily Upton, Alexander Upton; brother Raymond Dubois and his wife Jane; sister Jacqueline Philbrick and her husband Gary, sister Denise Martineau and husband Paul; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Peggy’s life will be held on Wednesday December 8th from 4:00-7:00pm at Phaneuf Home 243 Hanover Street, Manchester NH. A funeral mass will be the following day at 10:00am at the Holy Rosary Church in Hooksett where she will be laid to rest immediately afterwards.
