Marguerite L. (Maes) Ryan, 98, formerly of 16 Parker St., died February 6, 2000 at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home following a long illness. She was born in Antwerp, Belgium on October 5, 1901, the daughter of Alphonse and Celia (Weis) Maes and had resided in Manchester for over 70 years. She was the widow of Frederick Ryan who died in 1941. She was a parishioner of St. Raphael Church and was active in many of the church organizations, including the Rosary Society. Family members include her daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Virginia) Ryan Nault of Edison, NJ; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one nephew and one niece. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes, 243 Hanover St. on Monday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Additional, there will be a visitation at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home on Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 11:00. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Tuesday morning at 11:00 in Mt. Carmel Chapel. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
