Marie Louise (Durant) Lambrou, 57 , of Manchester, died at home on May 15, 2011 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on May 10, 1954, in Manchester, NH the daughter of Jeannette (Levasseur) Durant and raised by Priscilla Gagnon and Wilfred St. Laurent. She attended Manchester schools and graduated from Manchester Central High School in 1972. She was a parishioner of Ste. Marieâs Church. After working many years, she found her profession as a day-care provider, which she lovingly devoted the last 19 years of her life to. She was known as âAuntieâ to the many children she loved and cared for, in her home.
She had many joys in her life including trips to the beach, gambling and taking care of others. She was an avid Red Sox and Celtics fan and loved to watch the games on TV. She also enjoyed snacking on Junior Mints and Jelly Belly jelly beans.
Marie was admired and loved by many and will be fondly remembered for her quick witted sense of humor and caring ways. She was always a wonderful host and giving friend. She has touched the lives of many and will live on in their memories.
In Her Life: Marie is survived by her husband of 39 years, Timothy C. Lambrou Sr., her daughter Tammy Marie Lambrou and her son Timothy C Lambrou Jr. all of Manchester. Her brothers Daniel Durant and his wife Coleen of Goffstown, Jim Durant and his wife Lisa of Manchester, Paul Durant and his wife Patricia of Manchester, and Mike Durant of Manchester. She is also survived by other family members including, Charles Gagnon Sr., Lorraine (Gagnon) Shepard, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Special people in her life; Deb and Chuck Gagnon, The Demingway Family, Andrea and Arthur Moutsioulis, and her ODCP friends.
Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester on Friday from 4 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM in Ste. Marie Church.
