Marie C. (Chauvin) Racette, 90, formerly of 389 Boynton St., died August 23, 2001 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home. She was born in Woburn, Canada on December 7, 1910, the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Lavigne) Chauvin and had been a Manchester resident for most of her life. She had worked in local textile mills for many years and was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. She was a member of the Bedford Seniors, AARP and the Coeur Joyeux. She was the widow of Napoleon Racette who died in 1990. Family memebers include her son, Paul Racette of Hill; one daughter, Anita Racette of Manchester; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Chauvin of Manchester and Raoul Chauvin of Goffstown; three sisters, Mrs. Anita Dupont of Goffstown, Mrs. Roland (Leonne) Blanchette of Manchester and Sr. Denise Chauvin, PM of Keene; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 11 AM in Sacred Heart Church. Urn burial will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
