Marilyn G. (Bryant) VanNess of South Newfane passed away at Vernon Green Nursing Home on Jan. 26, 2012 after a battle with cancer. She was born on Nov. 9, 1938 to Warren and Gladys (Harris) Bryant. She received her elementary and high school education at various schools throughout Vermont. She afterwards received her education and training as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Marilyn had worked at Grace Cottage Hospital, Eden Park Nursing Home and Stratton House, her work was very rewarding for her.
She was married to Harland J. VanNess on June 22, 1958 in West Townshend, VT.
Marilyn loved boating on Lake Harriman, Snowmobiling, music, animals spending time at Lake Seymour in the summers and Ogunquit Maine.
She is survived by her husband Harland, her two children; daughter Deborah and family of Brattlboro and her son Donald and family of Athens; Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren who brought her great love and joy.
She is predeceased by her parents, two sisters, Joyce Kamerik and Carolyn LeBron and one brother, Alson Bryant.
