Marilyn C. Woodbury, 88, of Manchester passed away peacefully Monday, October 7, 2024, following a period of declining health.
Marilyn was born in Concord, NH July 25, 1936, to William and Mary (Hallinan) Cook and was a graduate of Penacook High School. She worked two full time jobs to support her children. One of those jobs was as a private duty Licensed Nurses Aide with Interim Healthcare; a career that spanned more than 42 years during which she cared for hundreds of patients.
Marilyn enjoyed visiting York, ME, and spending time with her many friends at Libby’s Campground.
Marilyn is survived by her grandson Joshua Wedge who lived with her for over 30 years. She also leaves behind her son, Jeff Wedge and his wife Margie, and her daughter, Mel Kyriazis and her husband John; grandchildren Thomas Shurtleff and his wife Shannon, David Shurtleff, and Jessica Wedge; and great-grandchildren Mary, Maggie, West Shurtleff, and Rafael Rubin Eliza Wedge. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings Nancy Hamm, Patricia Knight-Bell, William Cook Jr., Susanne Leddy, Sally Cummings, and John Cook.
At Marilyn’s request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to Merrimack Home Health & Hospice.
