LITTLETON -- Marion C. Howland, 97, a lifelong resident of Littleton, died Friday, May 23rd at the Lafayette Center in Franconia, NH.
Marion was born on March 1, 1906 in the home of her parents, Wilbur W. Craigie, Sr. and Agnes (Nicholson) Craigie.
She attended area schools and was a graduate of Littleton High School, class of 1924. Prior to her retirement in 1968, she was the Secretary and Treasurer for the Littleton Superintendent of Schools for 42 years.
Surviving family members include her sister-in-law, Dorothy A. Craigie, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Her husband of 61 years, Roger F. Howland, predeceased her in 1998; as well as two brothers, Wilbur W. Craigie, Jr. And Nichol D. Craigie; three sisters, Alda C. Young, Margaret C. Beere, and Isabel C. Harrington.
SERVICES -- Graveside services were held on Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at the Glenwood Cemetery in Littleton, NH.
