Mark C. McAllister

Mark Christian McAllister, 53, of Bedford, NH, passed away on June 15, 2025. Born in Tucson, AZ on August 21, 1971, he was a son of Thomas McAllister and Jean (Hellandbrand) McAllister. He shared 25 years of marriage with his wife, Tracy (Bourgeois) McAllister, and was the loving father of Ethan and Chase McAllister.

Mark grew up in East Hartford, CT, and graduated from East Hartford High School in 1989. His lifelong passion for aviation led him to earn his flight school certification from Daniel Webster College in 1996. He began his career as a flight instructor and later became a commercial airline pilot. For the past 16 years, Mark proudly served as a pilot and captain with Southwest Airlines.

At home, Mark took pride in caring for his surroundings, constantly working on home improvement projects and perfecting his landscaping. He was also a talented leatherworker. Mark enjoyed staying active through hiking, kayaking, golf, disc golf, baseball, and Tae kwon do. More than anything, he treasured time with his family and was a devoted, loving father to his two sons, Ethan and Chase.

Mark is survived by his wife, Tracy McAllister; his sons, Ethan and Chase McAllister; his mother, Jean McAllister; his brother, Michael McAllister and his wife Leslie; his sister, Carrie McAllister; his stepmother, Mary McAllister; his in-laws, Edgar and Sandra Bourgeois; his brother-in-law, Michael Bourgeois and his wife Jen; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Thomas McAllister.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th from 4PM-7PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 20th at 10AM. Burial to follow at Bedford Center Cemetery.
