In Loving Memory of Mark Paul Turgeon Sr.
Mark Paul Turgeon Sr., 64, of Dunbarton, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 2, 2026, outside his home. He was born on September 2, 1962, at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire, to Paul and Judith Turgeon.
Mark was the devoted husband of Michelle J. (Morin) Turgeon, with whom he shared 41 years of marriage. The two were married on November 23, 1985, in Bedford, New Hampshire, beginning a life together filled with family, memories, and love.
Mark graduated from Manchester Central High School in 1981. He was a hardworking man who spent many years working in the automotive industry. Throughout his career, he worked for Cotter and Company, AAMCO Transmissions, ProStreet Unlimited, Monroe & Mufflers, STA Bus Company of Bedford, and most recently, O’Reilly Auto Parts.
Those who knew Mark knew that he could always be found doing something with his hands. If someone needed help with a car, Mark was there. If something needed fixing around the house, Mark was the one to call. He was the family's handyman and never hesitated to lend help. Years of hard work left his hands feeling like leather, a testament to just how much he gave of himself.
Mark had many passions and simple pleasures that brought him happiness. He loved movies, especially The Battle of the Bulge, which he could watch on repeat. He enjoyed drag racing at the New England Dragway, Hot rod night at Goldenrod Restaurant, loud rock music—especially KISS—and target shooting. He also enjoyed taking the kids, at the crack of dawn, fishing at Lake Massabesic. He took pride in decorating the perfect Christmas tree for his children and loved summer cookouts by the pool.
Some of Mark's favorite memories were made around cars and family. He loved attending car shows with his grandchildren and sharing his passion for automobiles with them. He also had a special place in his heart for the cats and dogs that were part of his life throughout the years.
And, of course, Mark never turned down some of his favorite foods—lasagna, pizza, and tacos were always sure to make him happy.
Above all else, Mark was a family man, treasuring his role as “Papa.” His greatest legacy will be the love he gave to his parents, wife, children, and grandchildren, and the countless memories he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Michelle; his children, Mark Jr., Marybeth, Amy and her husband John, Stephanie and her partner Joshua, and Holly; his grandchildren, Dominic, Jack, Tyler, Phoebe, Henry, Jonathan, Jax, Rylee, and Lucy; and his parents, Judith and Paul. He also leaves behind extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Assisting the family with arrangements is Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester. A Mass will be held at Saint Anthony of Padua Parish, 172 Belmont Street, Manchester, NH, on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 10am. A celebration of Mark's life will be provided by the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honor Mark consider bringing or sending a Hot Wheels car, a small tribute to a man who loved the kids.
