Marsha Anna McGinnis

Marsha Anna (Truchon) McGinnis, 71, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024, at Hanover Hill Heath Care Center in Manchester, New Hampshire. Born in Altadena, California, she later moved to Manchester, where she lived most of her life after graduating from Concord High School.

Marsha was a dedicated and hardworking woman who spent her career in accounting at the Union Leader until her retirement in 2011, following her diagnosis with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. Her resilience and strength were evident not only in how she faced her illness but in how she raised her son, Ryan McGinnis, as a single mother.

Known for her unwavering kindness, Marsha was a second mom to Ryan’s friends and a constant source of support to all who knew her. Whether coaching her son’s sports teams or teaching him to ski, Marsha’s presence was a guiding light in Ryan’s life and the lives of those around her.

She shared a close bond with her daughter-in-law, Melissa, and adored her two grandchildren, Asia and Gavin. Despite living modestly, Marsha always found ways to spoil her grandkids, making family vacations extra special. Her ability to put her loved ones first was just one of the many qualities that made her an extraordinary person.

Marsha will be remembered for her generosity, selflessness, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

She is survived by her son, Ryan McGinnis, his wife, Melissa, and her beloved grandchildren, Asia and Gavin.

SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, September 30th, 2024 from 5:00 to 6:00PM, with a memorial service starting at 6:00PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH.
