Martha Elaine Wlajnitz

Martha Elaine Wlajnitz, 78, of Manchester, NH passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on July 23, 2021. Born in Dover, NH on September 23, 1942, she was one of seven children to the late Frank and Esther (Beach) Lettney. She shared 41 years of marriage with her husband, Jacob Wlajnitz.

Martha was raised in Wolfeboro, NH and was a 1959 graduate of Brewster Academy. She spent 13 years living in Woodbridge, VA and working in Washington, DC for the State Department and later as an office manager for a congressman. She eventually moved back to New Hampshire in 1990. In her spare time, Martha enjoyed fishing, painting, bowling and cheering for New England sports teams. Martha was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Martha is survived by her husband, Jacob Wlajnitz of Manchester; her daughter, Eva Ralston of Manchester; her sister, Ruth Brack and her husband Albert of Penacook; her step-children, Robert Wlajnitz and Wendy Hilbert and her husband Charles, all of Pennsylvania; as well as 9 grandchildren including Amanda Reed, Jenna Wolfe, Melissa Gaskill, Brandon Ralston, Zach Ralston, Jamie Paige, Christopher Paige, Alex Paige and Justin Hilbert; as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Robert T. Paige.

Martha’s family will be having a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
