OBITUARY Martin J. "Marty" DeSchuiteneer, 71, of Manchester, died Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack. He was born in Manchester, NH on July 4, 1937, the son of the late Martin and Margaret (McGabe) DeSchuiteneer and had been a lifelong resident of the Queen City. Marty was a great host for many of the Desjardins Jewelry Shows. He loved golfing, swimming and boating. Marty loved to sing and was a director and performer for a variety of shows with the Practical Arts, Catholic Medical Center and the Boys Scouts. He was a great cook and baker, specializing in Bridal and Birthday cakes. Mr. DeSchuiteneer was a member of the League of a 1000 men of the Precious Blood Monastery. He was a man of strong faith and had a great devotion to St. Jude and the Holy Spirit. He was a parishioner of St Jude Church and had high respect for the Pastor, Reverend Bob Couto and also Father Diorio. Marty worked for the Manchester Parks and Recreation. IN HIS LIFE: Marty leaves his wife of 29 years, Jay (L'Heureux) DeSchuiteneer , a step son, Craig Trepanier and his wife Pamela; a step daughter, Renee Rattigan, three step grandchildren; Meredith Trepanier , Hannah Trepanier and Mathew Rattigan, all of Manchester. Marty had a very special place in his heart for 'his girls' Meredith and Hannah. SERVICES: Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 6:00pm in the Phaneuf Funeral Home and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union, Manchester. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00pm. Donations may be made in his memory the Sisters of the Monastery of the Precious Blood, 700 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
