MARTIN F. SHARP GOFFSTOWN, NH – Martin F. Sharp, 75, died Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, in Lebanon, NH. He was born on July 9, 1933, in Lancaster, OH, the son of the late, Herbert and Noradell (Spangler) Sharp. Mr. Sharp was a resident of Goffstown since 1976. Prior to this he lived in Manchester. Mr. Sharp was a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force, where he served 20 years. He was a member of the Pinardville Athletic Club, and the Knights of Pythias. Mr. Sharp loved fishing and spending time at the Nubble Lighthouse. He also enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Sharp liked James Herriot, who was a British veterinary surgeon and writer. Family members include; his 2 sons, Douglas T. Sharp and Richard M. Sharp, both of Goffstown; 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 2 brothers, William Sharp of Washington State and Robert Sharp, of Ohio; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. Sharp was predeceased by his wife, Auriol (Moore) Sharp. Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 14, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester, NH. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 Noon. The Reverend Douglas Rickard will officiate the service. Committal prayers and burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, in Manchester.
