Mary Ann (Phelps) Moon, 82 years old, was brought home by the Lord on July 22, 2026. Mary Ann was born to Howard & Lillian Phelps, lifetime residents of Readsboro, VT, was a loving mother, grandmother, Mimi and sister. Pre-deceased by her husband Carl D. Moon Senior, seven brothers and sisters, her grandchildren Sawyer Charron and Jonica Deblois.

Mary Ann has left behind her four children she loved dearly, Vicky (Deblois) Hall and her husband Jim Hall, Kristy (Deblois) Dimezza and her husband Robert Dimezza, Marcy Deblois and her partner Jeff DeForest, Thomas Deblois and his wife Tami (Brewer) Deblois. Survived by her sister Mildred Brewer. She had twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann was a proud lifetime resident of Readsboro, as she attended and graduated from Readsboro and Whitingham School. Mary Ann had been with Carl for 40 blissful years; he was the love of her life. They enjoyed spending their time with family, going for car rides, and checking on the farm. Going and getting ice cream together was a favorite pastime. Throughout her life she worked in the United States Postal Service and aided families through respite care through Families First. She worked dutifully for 27 years together with her late husband Carl, maintaining Readsboro Apartments. A proud member of Readsboro Baptist Church, Mary Ann served her community for 35 years, by baking the towns favorite treats for the harvest festival. She loved serving the Lord and feeding those she loved with her favorite goodies. She loved spending time with her family. Whether it was at a birthday party, or her serving one of her best dishes to those stopping in.

Mary Ann was the prayer warrior for her family and community. If it was saying grace or safe travels, good health or for a big buck Mary Ann was praying for her family and friends. Her open-door policy allowed those around her to feel welcomed and loved. She gave support through worshipping God, offering a laugh, and a cookie. She could always be found on the phone checking in on those she cared for or watching her hummingbirds.

The family would like to celebrate her life through a graveside service held at the Readsboro Village Cemetery on Saturday August 15th, 2026 at 2pm. In loving memory of her the family asks for donations to be sent to Readsboro Baptist Church.
