Mary C. "Colleen" (Hickey) Duquette, of Franklin NH, passed away Thursday, the 27th of April at Mountain Ridge Center after a period of failing health.
Colleen was born April 19, 1952 to the late Patrick and Connie (Schrader) Hickey in St. Louis Missouri. She grew up in Missouri one of six children. Colleen married Robert J. Duquette on November 11, 1972. They lived in Missouri, New York, finally settling in New Hampshire for the last 24 years. Those who knew Colleen knew of her love of being creative. She loved writing poems and stories, painting and crafts of all sorts were her passion.
Colleen is survived by her son, Timothy Duquette and wife Leta of Concord ,NH; son, Philip Duquette of Gilford, NH; daughter, Yvette Brooks of Farmington, NH; daughter, Jessica Sugrue of Manchester, NH; her siblings, all of Missouri, Tim Hickey, Michelle Hickey Albanese, Denise Hickey, Jim Hickey and John Hickey . Colleen is also survived by her beloved eight grandchildren, Christopher Duquette, Gavin Duquette, Maiya Nunes, Madelyn Brooks, Austin Brooks, Elisha Duquette, Aiden Sugrue and Rylee Sugrue. She was predeceased by her husband Robert J. Duquette.
A graveside service will be held Friday, May 5, 2017 at 11am at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. Flowers for the service may be sent to the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery of Boscawen or Phaneuf Funeral Home in Boscawen, NH.
